While exploring the beautiful streets of Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, I came across a small stall filled with handmade treasures. Among them, I found this stunning pendant with intricate carvings that seemed to echo the rich history of the place. Mahabalipuram, with its ancient temples and rock-cut sculptures, is a reminder of the incredible artistry of the Pallava dynasty that helped shape this port city in the 7th and 8th century.

I bought the pendant and later decided to turn it into something more personal. I added these green beads to reflect the lush greenery around the famous Shore Temple and used earthy spacers to represent the sands and rocks of the site.

Creating this necklace became a moment of flow for me, a way to honor the beauty and history of Mahabalipuram in my own little way. Now, it feels like more than just jewelry—it’s a connection to a place and its timeless stories.
